Annual Walk & Gala A Success! Proceeds will be donated to
Blair E. Batson Sickle Cell Clinic at University of Mississippi
Medical Center. Also, we will use the funds to initiate a
blood matching program in partnership with Mississippi Blood
Services (Details Available Soon).

Annual Birthday Bash
Every year we take time out to honor the life of children
with SCD by having a birthday bash in grand-style. The city-wide event is
held at LeFleur's Bluff State Park. On May 5, 2007 over 500 people attended
this family event.

Annual Walk & Gala
This event is held every September in honor of Sickle Cell
Awareness Month. The weekend events include a 5K walk and Gala featuring live
music, great food, silent auction and a karaoke lounge. The motto is: "if you
can walk...you can dance and if you can talk...you can sing.

Blood Drives
We work closely with Mississippi
Blood Services to help coordinate blood drives. Blood transfusion
therapy is useful in preventing deadly stokes in patients with sickle cell disease
